Glenn Duxbury
President
QAOGlenn – QAO, Technical Specialist, Chief Caring Officer – is the Owner & Founder of Duxbury & Associates-Building Inspection and Consulting Ltd., a family-owned service business, based in New Westminster, created to serve, educate and protect homeowners, home buyers, renters and landlords. Some of the larger Clients now have included BC Hydro, both area Universities, the Vancouver and Surrey School Boards, Fortis BC, numerous Law firms and Property Management companies.
He is also an educator and mentor, as well as an expert witness, speaker and has presented to thousands of 1st-time home buyers and has served on several Boards. Glenn worked for over 12 years as a licensed Property Manager, working closely with Strata Councils and their various elected members.
Glenn is also a member of numerous professional Associations, ASTTBC,the Safer Home Society and BC Building Envelope Council.
He lives in New Westminster, also, with his wife and they have 2 fine, adult children. Glenn joined the Board in 2018, upon invitation, for his technical knowledge. -
Richard Saumier
Vice President
Richard Saumier is a family person, proud husband and father. Currently, he is President and Owner of Clear Convenience Corporation which operates as Licensee for multiple gas stations in the Lower Mainland.
Raised and living in Langley, which is the traditional territories of the Matsqui, Kwantlen, Katzi and Semiahmoo First Nations, Richard went on to graduate from University of BC with a Bachelor of Arts and Certificate in HR from BCIT. His career includes 10 years with Petro-Canada’s Sales and Marketing, 13 years as an executive manager with Clark Freightways and now an independent business owner.
Richard’s experiences have led to guest speaking engagements at BCIT, and Suncor/Petro-Canada conferences, plus contract work negotiating union contracts.
Richard has also been involved with supporting his childrens’ schools through DPAC and support to the Improv and Theatre Company.
You can often find Richard outside with his family enjoying what BC and Canada has to offer; hiking, biking, rock climbing, snow boarding and kayaking.As a proud member of the Board, Richard looks forward to supporting seniors and their opportunity to continue living in Coquitlam near their family and friends and the places they know and love.

Arun Gautam
Treasurer / Secretary
MBA, MAArun is a Strategic Management Professional with 10+ years of industry experience ranging from Operations, Marketing, Business Development, Business Analysis, Business Automation and General Business Management. He is the founder of his Information Technology (IT) company The Anuswara Infotech Inc. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and Masters degree in Public Administration.
Arun has also successfully completed multiple Programs including Logistics Management, International Business Management, Leadership and Team Management. In addition to this Arun has also undergone rigorous training of International standards of Quality, OHSAS, EMS and Security Systems.
He has also been instrumental in implementing and reviewing these standards for India’s Largest seaport. Arun has been the key driver in business improvement projects that increased productivity, the ease of doing business and profitability. Arun has also represented business for many IT projects including development and implementation.
As part of his passion he also studied Yoga and Naturopathy and completed a diploma of Naturopathy and Yoga Science.

Bill Cox
Director
Bill has over 40 years of experience in senior executive roles in the transportation industry overseeing logistical support for various Industries trade and commerce on both a domestic and international level.
He recently retired from his role as VP Sales and Marketing at Local Logistics Co. after 14 Years and prior to, he was the Center Manager for an international shipping company where he honed his extensive customer service and business development skills for over 25 years.
Bill is an active member of the Langley community where he lives with his wife of 23 years and daughter, who currently attends university. Bill is a dedicated volunteer coach for Softball BC spending countless hours year-round for the last 15 years teaching and mentoring young athletes to achieve their goals. -
Dean Robertson
Director
Dean is a retired businessman with more than 30 years of experience in the construction and communications fields. He specialized in communications systems and, as Vice President, helped grow and build a thriving communications company prior to his retirement in 2016.
He is a strong believer in building solid and lasting relationships and remains active in community and business groups.Dean lives in Surrey with his wife of 35 years and has 2 adult sons.
Dean originally joined the Burquitlam Senior Housing Society board in 2010 and served as President from 2013 to 2016 and rejoined the board in 2021.

David Perkins

David is a senior financial planner at Assante Financial Management and owner of P.T. Financial Consulting Ltd. He has more than 24 years of experience in the financial industry. He specializes in working with business owners and seniors. In addition to his Certified Financial Planning designation, he has earned his Elder Planning Counsellor and Certified Executor Advisor designations. David also taught the Registered Retirement Consultant course at Capilano University.
He is a strong believer in continuing education and is a regular speaker for community and business groups.
David lives in Coquitlam with his wife and son.
David joined the Burquitlam Senior Housing Society board in 2014 and has served as President since 2016.

Ron Goyette
Vice President

Ron Goyette is a small business consultant, with an accounting background (CMA), assisting business owners for over 20 years in making better decisions to achieve success and profitability in their enterprises.
He has also worked in different capacities within not-for-profit organizations, with leadership roles both in management and as a director on various boards and has led several initiatives with a local Rotary Club as well.
Ron has served on the board of the Burquitlam Seniors Housing Society since 2012 and is a past president of the board and continues to contribute to the direction of the organization.

Peggy Hunt
Secretary – Treasurer

Peggy is the owner of P. Hunt and Associates Inc., a strategic communications and stakeholder relations company. She has more than 25 years’ experience in communications, strategic government, community, stakeholder and public relations. She has also owned and operated retail, wholesale and franchise organizations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba in addition to participating on various not-for-profit boards and committees relating to homelessness, small business and at-risk youth.
Peggy has been on the Burquitlam Senior Housing Society board since 2015. She serves as Director at Large supporting the board in the areas of communications and stakeholder and government relations.
